LEU Advances Domestic Centrifuge Manufacturing

President and CEO Amir Vexler highlighted completion and initial shipments of the company's first newly manufactured centrifuge from Oak Ridge, TN, ahead of its year-end target.

Management also finalized agreements with all suppliers deemed critical and completed its first certified-for-construction package for the Piketon, OH, expansion.

Responding to Lake Street Capital Markets, Vexler emphasized that the achievement demonstrated an operational manufacturing line rather than merely a completed machine. The company is now focused on increasing production throughput, shortening manufacturing cycles and expanding capacity.

Centrus Expands Its Enrichment Backlog

Vexler reported that contingent low-enriched uranium (LEU - Free Report) and high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) sales commitments increased from $3 billion to $5.4 billion.

Total company backlog reached $7 billion, extending through 2040. Agreements with X-energy, Radiant and Antares included prepayments intended to support the company's enrichment expansion.

During questioning from JPMorgan, Vexler emphasized that established utilities provide substantial contractual certainty and volume. He described advanced reactor customers as an additional opportunity, noting stronger contractual commitments from developers seeking to secure future fuel supplies.

LEU Targets Commercial and National Security Demand

Vexler identified commercial LEU demand from existing reactors as the company's primary expansion priority, while positioning HALEU and national security applications as additional markets.

Centrus has begun enriching HALEU for commercial customers using its existing 16-centrifuge cascade. Management also highlighted its unobligated supply chain, which enables production suitable for certain national security requirements.

Responding to William Blair, Vexler reiterated engagement with the National Nuclear Security Administration concerning potential sole-source enrichment activities. In a separate exchange with UBS, CFO Todd Tinelli confirmed that the existing cascade is operating for commercial purposes, while longer-term arrangements with the Department of Energy remain under discussion.

Centrus Strengthens Its Supply Chain With Westerman

Management described the acquisition of Westerman as a means of securing critical manufacturing capabilities while improving project execution and cost efficiency.

Tinelli said the approximately $116 million transaction, funded through cash and equity, would diversify revenue and contribute positively to earnings in its first year.

During analyst questions, Vexler characterized Westerman as a strategic fit rather than a broader acquisition program. Tinelli added that the company could pursue further supply-chain integration through organic investment or acquisitions, with additional information planned for its December investor event.

LEU Maintains Its 2026 Financial Targets

Tinelli reaffirmed full-year revenue guidance of $450 million to $500 million and capital deployment expectations of $350 million to $500 million, excluding Westerman.

The company ended September with approximately $2.2 billion in unrestricted cash following a roughly $500 million capital raise. Potential warrant exercises could provide approximately $2 billion in additional proceeds.

In response to H.C. Wainwright, Tinelli attributed quarterly margin volatility to delivery timing and contract mix. The third quarter recorded a $10.6 million gross loss, while the reported GAAP profit benefited from a $46.4 million noncash warrant valuation gain. Management maintained confidence in its annual outlook.

Centrus Shifts Toward Scaled Execution

Vexler's overarching message focused on moving from manufacturing readiness toward sustained production and commercial deployment. The company continues expanding its workforce and preparing infrastructure for additional enrichment capacity.

Management identified its Dec. 7 Investor Day as an opportunity to provide greater detail on production scaling, capital deployment and Westerman's contribution. Near-term priorities remain execution discipline, supply-chain reliability and fulfilling contracted commitments.
